Buses / Bus

Un servicio de buses para su traslado al centro de la ciudad está disponible en el Aeropuerto Internacional Ministro Pistarini. Podrá encontrar un stand de la empresa, luego de la Aduana y el costo del ticket es de aproximadamente U$S 12.

Manuel Tienda León operates a good bus service every half hour from 5.00 am to 10.00 pm. from the airport to the city center. You can purchase a ticket from the booth just outside the customs area. The fare is U$S 12. The buses go to all the major downtown hotels and to the central bus terminal.

Transporte dentro de la ciudad / Transportation within the city

El sistema de transporte público permite trasladarse dentro de la ciudad de forma sencilla. La red de subterráneos conecta las zonas más importantes de la ciudad con el hotel sede. Los taxis son amarillos y negros, pueden tomarse en cualquier esquina de la ciudad, pero les recomendamos solicitarlos desde el hotel donde se hospede.

 

The Buenos Aires public transportation system allows for easy travelling within the city. The subway network connects the most important areas of the city with the Symposium venue. All official taxis in the city are black and yellow, and can be called by phone, but it is more safety to ask for transportation form your hotel.

Como cualquier gran ciudad, recomendamos no perder de vistas sus pertenencias, en especial en los aeropuertos y lobby de los hoteles. También sugerimos guardar los objetos de valor en la caja de seguridad del hotel donde se hospeda.

Moneda - Bancos – Cambio / Currency - Banks – Exchange

La moneda oficial de la Argentina es el Peso ($), hay billetes de 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 y 100 pesos, y monedas de 5, 10, 25 y 50 centavos y 1 peso. El cambio de dinero es realizado por los bancos y las agencias de cambio. Los bancos están abiertos de Lunes a Viernes en el horario de 10.00 a 15.00 hs. Los cheques de viajero son exclusivamente cambiados en hoteles y bancos.

 

Cajeros Automáticos

Los cajeros automáticos están localizados por toda la ciudad, se pueden realizar extracciones en pesos o dólares estadounidenses. También pueden ser utilizados para extraer adelantos de dinero de la mayoría de las tarjetas de crédito.

 

Tipo de Cambio - Tarjetas de Crédito - Propina

El tipo de cambio es de $3.90 = U$S 1. Las tarjetas de crédito VISA, DINERS, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS son aceptadas en la mayoría de los restaurantes, hoteles, negocios. Los cheques de viajeros se cambian sólo en bancos y en hoteles. Los bancos abren a las 10.00hs. y cierran a las 15.00hs. En cuanto a las propinas no es costumbre en la Argentina que estén incluidas en la cuenta de los hoteles y restaurantes. Lo usual es abonar un 10% sobre el total de la factura. Argentina’s national monetary unit is the Peso ($). Currency exchange is provided by banks and exchange agencies with no restrictions. Banks are open Monday to Friday from 10.00 to 15.00 hs. Travellers cheques are almost exclusively exchanged at hotels and banks.

 

ATM (Automatic Teller Machine)

ATMs are located all around the city. You can withdraw either pesos or USD. They can also be used for cash advances on major credit cards such as MasterCard, VISA, Amex.

Major credit cards are accepted in most hotels, stores and restaurants.

 

Tipping

Tipping is not the general custom in Argentina and service charges are not added to accounts by hotels and restaurants. However, you may tip hotel porters and food and drink waiters in restaurants (up to 10% of the bill) for special service. At any time, tipping is your choice. Buenos Aires es famosa por sus boutiques de moda. Un paseo por las elegantes calles, en particular Alvear, Florida y Santa Fe, y centros comerciales como Galerías Pacífico y Patio Bullrich ofrece al visitante una gran variedad de experiencias. Las mejores compras en la Argentina son los artículos de cuero, artesanías de plata, locales piedras semi-preciosas y recuerdos relacionados con el Gaucho y la Pampa. Hay un excelente mercado al aire libre en la histórica Plaza de San Telmo, abierta los fines de semana, con gran cantidad de antigüedades y pinturas.

Buenos Aires is famous for its chic boutiques. A walk along elegant streets, particularly Alvear, Florida and Santa Fe, and shopping centers as Galerias Pacífico and Patio Bullrich gives the visitor a wealth of experiences. The best buys in Argentina are leather goods, silver crafts, local semi-precious stones and souvenirs related to the Gaucho and the Pampas. There is an excellent outdoor market in historic San Telmo Square open at weekends, with plenty of antiques and paintings.
